X Incredible house, incredible pets and incredible homeowner!We house and pet sat for Collette for a month in the spring of 2017 and we had a GREAT time. Her four dogs were easy to care for and provided us with hours of laughter and companionship. It was very difficult to say good-bye.Collette's beautiful home is located in a hillside gated community and her back yard overlooks Lake Chapala and the villages of San Antonio and Ajijic. We spent a lot of time on the patio with the dogs and swam almost every day in the heated pool. We also took the opportunity to explore the Lake Chapala area beyond Ajijic.Collette was an excellent hostess and even arranged a garden party for our first night so we could meet some of her neighbors and friends. We felt very welcome in the community and attended weekly Sunday brunches during our stay. We would definitely go back again!

The cats, all rescues from different backgrounds, spent their mornings and evenings outside, but they didn't stray far from home they and came in at bedtime without any complaints.This was my first trip to San Miguel de Allende (SMA) and I had the opportunity to explore much of the city during the day when the cats were sleeping. The house is located in a gated community and local bus service to downtown was just a block from the house. Since taxi fare to anywhere in town was only 50 pesos, I did my major grocery shopping at one of the big-box stores on the edge of the city and then filled in from one of the local markets less than a half block from the house.Due to the urgency of her travel, Hilary didn't have a lot of time to "brief" me but her house was well-equipped and easy to manage, so I had no issues. Reliable Internet service and a large-screen TV connected to cable made my stay both productive and relaxing,

She is beyond welcoming; had flowers in my room, cooked meals and introduced me to so many people in the community that I left both times feeling like I was leaving many friends. She is beyond welcoming; had flowers in my room, cooked meals and introduced me to so many people in the community that I left both times feeling like I was leaving many friends. She allowed me to use her car which made getting around Ajijic and the Lake Chapala area so much easier. And her babies … she has 4 wonderful dogs that each have their own personalities. I travel by myself and 4 dogs weren't too much for me to handle because she has them trained so well. On walks, one goes off-leash, another on a single leash and the 2 smallest on a double leash; easy, peasy! Their routine is very easy and they'll reward you with lots of affection. Many evenings, I was in the TV room surrounded by them cuddling and sleeping while I watched movies. AND, she has an extensive movie collection if you enjoy movies. I've sat at many homes now in the area and you won't find a better view of Lake Chapala, especially for sunsets! And, you'll have a great pool to enjoy also. You really won't want for anything and I have no hesitation recommending you sit for Collette and her crew. I will always be open to sitting for her in the future, Just enjoy!

Although her 4 sweet and affectionate dogs are of varying sizes and breeds they were easy to handle on the daily walks and in the home.
