She is also great company if you want to take her out for dinner, although the restaurant staff will usually pay more attention to her than you! Although Stella is the star of the show, I guess I should mention that she also has a really nice house and owners. I was welcomed with a nice dinner my first night there and given clear instructions for Stella's care and the house. The house is well furnished, clean, comfortable and quiet. It's located in a good neighborhood, walking distance to centro, with plenty of small stores and places to eat nearby.

The Malecon and bus station are within walking distance, Uber is cheap and responsive. I even hired a driver/tour guide one time. Being a single woman, I never felt unsafe. Facebook groups for La Paz and Cabo, and Baja, were very helpful prior to and during my visit. Thank you for this great opportunity!

It is newer and has all the home amenities needed and a beautiful patio with amazing plants and sitting areas, which offer a lot of light in the apartment during the day. It is in a great location with interesting neighborhoods in any direction and a tianguis one block away on Sunday, making it super convenient for groceries (including meats, dairy and seafoods). Karen was great from the start and is very kind and caring. We maintained solid and fluid communications and updates from our first communication. I would highly recommend this opportunity and hope I can do it again in the future.

Romeo greeted us with affection upon our arrival at Toni's home. He was alert to goings on outside his casa, but not overly vocal. When out of the house, Romeo quietly surveyed the end of his calle, sometimes pausing at his friend's door. He would not venture past his house towards a busy street. He needed some restraint near other dogs and was less comfortable walking busy streets. We were happy to see Romeo recognized and greeted by the community on walks. Several children we met knew him too and were happy to share kibble treats we provided. At day's end we welcomed him for a cuddle in a very comfortable bed before he retired to his own on the floor. Toni's home was comfortably efficient while reflecting her creative sensibility. A Mexican color palette was bright without being overwhelming. We give Toni's sit high marks for pet behavior, excellent communication, and a walkable, welcoming local community. Thank you for choosing us, Toni.
