After asking if I’d like the human named Eric to be the one, whom I met when he was taking care of a neighbor dog, Milo, my tail started to wag. I have no direct control over this tail wagging thing, but my humans thought it was meaningful. And then Eric came not long after. I was SO happy to see him! When my humans left for their trip, Eric took me for walks, gave me lots of belly rubs, took care of me when I was startled by the fireworks, gave me lots of treats, played ball with me, and...played ball with me again. And he took me to places where I could run free! I sure hope my humans take me to those places. That was fun and sometimes muddy (I didn't like the baths after, though). We had a lot of fun together. He’s the best. I missed my regular humans but Eric is second best to them. I hope Eric comes back again so we can continue our friendship. P.S.: From Chica's 'humans:' Eric is not only responsible and attentive, he is such a wonderful person. We feel fortunate to know him. Our dog, Chica got lucky, as did we.

I had a very good feeling from them since our first communications on the platform, then moved to WhatsApp. They are two individuals who I would highly recommend as they were punctual, responsible, and went what I feel to be above and beyond the posted sitting posting. They even sharpened my knives! I also really liked that they sent me photos every few days of Lucy and of the plants, I felt connected to my property and to them through these messages and photos. Sada and Alex were fantastic hosts with a beautiful family. They have a lovely home in a gated community, which is extremely safe for solo sitters. San Angel is a resourceful, walkable neighborhood. Home and pet instructions were clear and simple. Pepper is a sweetheart and a joy to care for. She’s easygoing and communicates clearly if she needs anything. It was truly a treat. I would happily return for another sit.

Oksana and Raul were the answer to our prayers. Our regular sitter was unavailable and we wanted to spend Christmas with my sister in Puerto Vallarta. They arrived on time and took great care of our home and our two dogs/two cats. Valencia is very kind and conscientious, and I highly recommend her. She kept me up to date with photos of my cats, sometimes sitting on her lap. They liked her very much, I’m not sure they even cared when I got home! The house was spotless when I returned. I hope she’ll house sit for me again in the future.

November 20 to December 11, 2026 Michael and Janie were our first sit in San Miguel de Allende. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant introduction to this historical city. Their home is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking Central Historico. An excellent Mercado was in walking distance while good bus service or inexpensive cabs got us to very fine grocery stores. Their home is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking Central Historico. An excellent Mercado was in walking distance while good bus service or inexpensive cabs got us to very fine grocery stores. Coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants abound. We were spoiled with a very comfortable guest suite. A strong hot shower took the chill off cool days. We enjoyed an excellent kitchen, beautiful furnishings and great office/TV room. Strong internet eased our daily work chores. At day's end their rooftop terrace was a perfect place for a sunset glass of wine. Jasper and CaliCat charmed us. They have found a caring couple in the perfect forever home and they know they struck gold. They followed us around like a pair of puppies. Jasper especially, is an insistent lap cat which we found quite comforting. CaliCat, the newest resident, is coming out of her shell and becoming very affectionate. Both have good toileting behavior. Jasper is recovering from a skin condition marked by red spots on his belly. He readily accepted twice daily applications of medicated ointment made easier by the distraction of a lick'n stick treat. His condition was markedly improved by the end of our three-week stay. Jasper and CaliCat are indoor cats with almost free reign of the house and outdoor terraces. Cat doors allow access to two terraces and a small garden. All outside spaces are screened for their safety. Michael and Janie are generous hosts. We connected minutes after we met and could have shared long conversations. As often happens, business came first. Written and verbal instructions were quite complete and they were very responsive to later questions. Excellent communication from two professionals. They modeled for how best communicate with house/cat sitters, which we learned from and valued immensely. They even improved upon some of our cat routines! Regarding our sit start-and-end dates, their flexibility enabled us to plan additional family and medical time beyond our original agreement. We are grateful. They were proactive in reaching out to the next sitter who was going to be taking over, too, since we were still going to be out of town. They were hard-workers and enthusiastic to do whatever was needed. They were professional in every respect, our home was well taken care of, and we would work with them again in a heartbeat! Our only regret was not having more time to get to visit with this lovely couple.

One of my dogs requires extra attention for feedings and bathroom breaks but he went the extra mile by cooking some foods that he knew that she was able to eat. Her home is clean and cozy, with beautiful paintings throughout. I would happily housesit for her again and hope our paths cross when I return to Ajijic.
