Kendra and Steve are great, and have a beautiful, peaceful home, which makes housesitting there wonderful. Their cat Ruth is adorable, and very easy to love and care for. We really enjoyed getting to know her. We also loved spending afternoons on the incredible rooftop terrace, watching birds, storms, and rainbows. Dave is a kind and loving guy who is great with animals. We loved having him stay with our 3 pets for two weeks and have asked him to stay here again later this summer. Our pets obviously love him, and Dave is great at communicating and adding special care when needed. He learned their routines and personalities and we really appreciate that. Sze has a wonderful home she had built herself right on the lake. The view and property are stunning! Although her post states she is in Jojotepec, I wanted to mention that she is a mere 100 peso taxi ride or short bus trip from central Ajijic. Unfortunately, our plans were cut short by an act of nature and an urgent back surgery. Sze communicated with me about all changes in a clear and timely matter. For a large dog, he is very responsive and easy to handle. Viva has got to be the softest cat i have ever had the pleasure of petting and Leo was a sweetheart too. I have no qualms about recommending this sit to anyone. The area and weather along with the lake are worth the trip.

I enjoyed my stay at Elisa's home with her two adorable dogs. She is very kind and has a beautiful house in a safe neighborhood. Her two little dogs are sweet and very easy to care for. Rose was a little bit shy at first, but after a few days, she would come sit next to me on the couch. Taquito would follow me everywhere and sit or sleep close to me. If you like small dogs, I highly recommend meeting them!

It was a pleasure having Dave care for my two pets. I returned to a tidy and clean home and, most importantly, to two happy pets. One of my pets does not warm up to anyone outside of family but when I arrived, she was scratching his leg wanting him to pick her up! She is also a very selective eater and he was able to manage her feedings really well. I found Dave to be a kind person with lots of patience. I would have him back anytime.
