X This summer we travelled to Spain and Portugal for three and a half weeks, leaving our home and three doggies (one of them a new rescue) in the care of strangers. With trepidation. There was no need for worry; Matias and Lucia are amazing! They looked after our home better just like we do, and our pets absolutely loved them! They are a sweet, kind and caring couple, hard-working, aware and ethical. The more we communicated with them as we travelled, the more we liked them and were completely comfortable with them looking after our home, supervising and paying the gardener and the housekeeper, driving the car (not a scratch on it), and, most importantly, providing love and exercise to our furry friends. We highly recommend Matias and Lucia, but wish we didn’t…we are afraid they will get too busy to return to us next year. And after having them as house sitters, it don’t want anyone else.

Kelley and Kate were wonderful! Even my cranky cat fell in love with them as soon as they arrived! They took great care of the house and cats. They also went out of their way to make sure the hummingbirds were fed. They kept me up to date on how the cats were doing and sent frequent photos. I never had any worries, they are very responsible and capable. I highly recommend Kate and Kelley and would love to have them back anytime.

Peggy is a wonderful host. She had all the important contacts and information put together for us, along with lots of information about San Miguel de Allende. Her house is immaculate, with everything in good working order. Her dog Cody is the sweetest, gentlest dog imaginable. (We miss him!) It was a wonderful experience and we would not hesitate to sit for her again.

We asked Peg to house sit for us rather last minute. I was thrilled that she was able to accommodate! Peg was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. She was extremely understanding of the construction going on around our house. We have a lovely home, but not an easy situation with noise out in the yard during the day. Peg had purchased some healthy treats for them, and even supplemented our kitchen with a few items that we hadn't thought to provide. Our plants were watered, and the house was in perfect order. Susan and David are two of the nicest, most caring and certainly most interesting people I've ever met, and who Cody immediately bonded with and who I felt immediately at ease with. When I returned home I could see how much Cody loved being with them, and in fact, today, two days later, he's still wandering around looking for them. Moira (Mo) was a wonderful House sitter. She kept my house in good shape and kept my pets very loved. Mobile communication with her was not possible because her phone didn't work properly, yet we managed to arrange everything well through mail prior her arrival. As I was away, there was no computer available for her so our communication was lost. Fortunately there was no need for us to keep in touch and she could get help from my neighbors.

This delightful family watched over my house and pack for two weeks. Everything went as planned, communication was good. Loved getting some photos while I was gone. House was perfect on my return and dogs were happy...but I think they miss the kids! They are welcome back for sure!

Kelleen was very welcoming to my family and I. She showed us around town and even stayed elsewhere for a few days so that we could acclimate to her animals with her still close enough to help if needed. We really appreciated it! Communication flowed very well even as she traveled overseas, which was very helpful as we ended up having to take two animals to the vet during our stay. Even that was very easy. Her vet is kind and effective and has someone who speaks English working with him. Kelleen currently has 4 dogs and 5 cats and they are all sweet and full of personality. Dags, one of her Australian Shepherds, has the most soleful eyes, and Toby, a chihuahua mix, is always up for cuddles. Lily is a sweet old lady with arthritis and she was my daughter's favorite, as Lily is very appreciative of belly scratches. Kota is also a sweetie and they quickly welcomed us into their "pack." The cats were also sweeties. Marnie lives on top of the kitchen cabinets, and the rest are outdoors a lot during the day. It was always neat how they would come in at night when called. We'd never been to Puerto Penasco before, but we found it welcoming with lots of places to swim in the high heat and humidity of August.

The alarm system added a sense of security - the area (as of this writing) is still growing with new-home construction, and not densely populated. The elevation is flat, streets of cobblestone. The neighboring property has a full-time caretaker (Jose) who kept an eye out for me and was a handy resource for questions or concerns. The neighboring property has a full-time caretaker (Jose) who kept an eye out for me and was a handy resource for questions or concerns. The walk to Wal-mart is 15 minutes - neighborhood tiendas are closer. Fine and casual dining can also be reached on foot. Public transit is a level 2 block walk - less than 5 min. Buses serving multiple routes pick-up riders (on both sides of the road ) to head east or west - the wait times are not long at this stop. There is a heated pool, covered patio with comfy furniture, good (filtered) hot and cold water. I did not use the A/C since ceiling fans sufficed. The area gets nice breeze from all directions. The HOSTS: Gene and Chiemi keep a lovely home, with nice things. They were reliable and followed thru with all plans that we made in advance. I felt they had reasonable expectations of me and that they were great communicators. Written instructions at the home were thorough and organized. The amount of communication was just right - touching base occasionally, with more frequent exchanges if (either one of us) had a specific item of concern. Even while they were on the go, responses were prompt when I reached out. Our exchanges were mainly via text and email. When unexpected issues arose, they reacted calmy from afar, and we dealt with them together. They allowed me to choose the course of action when that seemed the best approach. I enjoyed this opportunity to spend a little time in paradise - Gene and Chiemi heaven!

All we can say is \'Wow!\' Dawn is professional, detail-oriented, and absolutely trustworthy! Dawn took care of our newly-constructed house for the nearly six weeks we were away. During our absence, she oversaw subcontractors working their way through a punch list, the delivery of a car we bought, the installation of our solar panel system as well as the solar heat for our pool, monitored meter readings, kept track of the pool service and housekeeper...everything! We are so pleased with Natalie & Marty. They are a delightful couple and it is no wonder why they have many friends here in Ajijic. Upon return, we found our home in immaculate shape. Natalie had made some fabulous split pea soup which was much appreciated on our 9:00 PM arrival home, as well as the next day. They also took good care of some unexpected ongoing construction issues and had even washed our car. Highest possible recommendation.
