He held both Mexican driver’s licenses and permanent residence in Mexico, which further solidified our confidence in his abilities. Through the sit, Jonathan demonstrated exceptional communication skills. He inquired about our expectations, kept us updated on his arrival time to show him around our home, and introduced him to Ashley. Remarkably, he managed to earn Ashley’s trust within a few days, allowing him to pet her and provide her with the attention and love she needed and, more importantly, to bring her in at night to be safe. This was a significant achievement, especially considering my concerns about her being a bit wild sometimes. Jonathan managed to make Ashley more affectionate, and she’s gradually becoming more like a domestic cat. Jonathan maintained constant communication with us, providing us with daily reports on Ashley’s well-being. The house was left in pristine condition, as if Jonathan had taken great care of it as if it were his own. We wholeheartedly recommend Jonathan and have absolute trust in his abilities. Anyone considering selecting him for house-sitting or pet care would have nothing to worry about. Our five-and-a-half-month sit was an extended one, but Jonathan sent adorable photos of Ashley, which we cherished. Jonathan’s exceptional care for our property extended beyond house-sitting. He ensured that our housekeeper and gardener received their pay and took meticulous care of Ashley. They were conscientious with all instructions, and sent us regular Whatsapp reports and photos. This enabled us to travel worry-free. We'd like to give them a horrible review so that we could have them all to ourselves.... They were wonderful, and are now our friends. We could not rate them higher....

David and Edgar were an amazing couple with 4 delightful dogs. We only sitting for a short time but we fell in love with all four of the dogs. We miss Cody, Petey, Eliza and Emilio already. We were provided with clear and concise instructions for the care of the dogs and the house. The house is just lovely, in a quiet area of Ajijic but still walkable to Ajijic Centro, cafes and restaurants. We would sit for David and Edgar again in a heartbeat. We loved it.

We had a wonderful sit in Becca's comfortable home! Becca and her family were gracious hosts, filling us in on where to find things and how to get around town. Our comfort was important to them which was very appreciated. The home is in a convenient but quiet area and was a wonderful place to explore Patzcuaro from. Rick sat for me in March of 2025. The dogs were spoiled and well cared for. The house was clean and orderly when I returned. Rick even took possession of my Costco delivery and built my patio table - great surprise. The stay was short but the dogs were walked and I received photos and pictures. Looking forward to his taking care of the pets next month.

Nichole was a fantastic house sitter. We were happy that we got to meet with her prior to the sit because she was already in town. We learned that she was a very experienced traveler in Mexico and it put our mind at ease knowing she already knew the logistics of getting a longer stay visa and which airports were more likely to give her a 180 stamp in her passport. We learned that she was a very experienced traveler in Mexico and it put our mind at ease knowing she already knew the logistics of getting a longer stay visa and which airports were more likely to give her a 180 stamp in her passport. Prior to and during the sit Nichole was excellent at communicating, whether asking questions about the upcoming sit, keeping us updated on her travel plans, sending us cute photos of our pups, asking if it was OK for her to have family visit at the casita, etc. We really appreciated that the kept in touch with us prior to and during the sit. The dogs appeared to really like interacting with Nichole. We were able to see her playing with the dogs in the courtyard, throwing the ball and giving them their daily dose of exercise. Nichole did a great job looking after our property, making sure our housekeeper and gardener received their pay, and taking care of our dogs. Stacy and Jon’s home is a gem, and their two dogs, Harken and Obi, are an absolute delight—super bonded, full of personality, and a joy to be around. They were easy to care for, just a bit excited (especially when the ball comes out!), but always sweet and playful. The property itself is very well-stocked, clean, and comfortable—truly everything you’d need. The casita had great A/C, which made a huge difference during the hot month of May. The sound system was a bonus—I even got to have my own little graduation celebration, and the quiet surroundings meant I could enjoy it without worry. Stacy and Jon are the kind of hosts you hope for: thoughtful, easygoing, and genuinely kind. I really appreciated how they gave me space to settle in and trusted me with their home and pups. Every sitter has a different rhythm and reason for traveling—mine included taking Spanish classes—and they were totally supportive of that, just as they described in advance. I was able to step out for a few hours a day, and everything worked out great with the dogs and with any housekeepers or visitors. The neighborhood is very local and walkable. Bodega Aurrera (Walmart) is close by, and there are a few nice cafes and restaurants around. Ubers were always fast and easy—I never had a single issue getting around.
