Cheryl and Jerry, without the other Cheryl are very caring and competent. Even though we don't usually leave our cat they bonded so well that I wouldn't hesitate to leave her as well as our dog in the future

David and Larissa were able to accept position on very short notice and were terrific. David does his work from home so he could spend a lot of time with our dog. Larissa is a landscape designer with extensive experience in CDMX. She was willing to talk things through with our gardener and made some very good suggestions when we returned. Doubly valuable!

After getting registered on HouseSitMexico some weeks ago, I got my first pet sitting assignment in Ajijic, taking care of four dogs and two cats at Deborah's house in West Ajijic. It was a wonderful experience ! The four dogs, "Big boy", Jack, Colita and Pixey are really lovable and fun, and it was really easy to take care of them. It was a wonderful experience ! The four dogs, "Big boy", Jack, Colita and Pixey are really lovable and fun, and it was really easy to take care of them. When it was bedtime, I just had to call them and right away they were all going in the bedroom and sleeping until the next morning. Each of them has a different personality (like us as human being !) and I had a lot of fun playing with them. Jack is a champion at catching the ball and is a tireless player, "Miss Colita" is so small and light that she could make incredible jumps ! Pixey is the star for standing up and walking on his hind paws, and "Big Boy" is a big lovable and playful baby. The two cats are really sweet and easy to take care of too. It was my first time taking care of four dogs at the same time, and I could say that I really enjoyed my time with them. Deborah is a really nice person too and we had very interesting conversations together. The house is comfortable and is at walking distance from a French pastry and restaurant. And to go downtown, the bus is right in front of the alley. Thanks Deborah for this special time in Ajijic !

We just spent a week housesitting in a small town near Lake Chapala for a beautiful black lab “Heidi”. We fell in love with her quite quickly as she was so easy to look after. We spent plenty of time walking Heidi in the hills above Janice and Keith’s place and she loved it as did we. It was a peaceful place to stay as it was out in the countryside. We spent plenty of time walking Heidi in the hills above Janice and Keith’s place and she loved it as did we. It was a peaceful place to stay as it was out in the countryside. They live in a gated community and we felt very safe, their home and views were amazing. The house had everything you could want if you like to cook. There is a pool on site and most days I was the only one in it. We had our own vehicle but the buses run close to the house every 15 minutes or so. Janice and Keith were gracious hosts. They ensured we were comfortable, had written a detailed list for us and showed us how everything worked before they left. We highly recommend housesitting for Heidi and would love to come back one day to visit or housesit.

Thank you Gigi, for the excellent care you gave my 5 dogs while I was away. They all seemed happy and well cared for when I got home. How nice to also find my home as clean and tidy as it was when I left. How wonderful to leave my home with a couple who treated it with the respect and care they would treat their own home. Toni and Lee took excellent care of our small herd of dogs while we went on a ten day road trip. They were especially great when one of our little ones got sick. It was the first time that dog has ever been sick, and we seriously considered turning around and coming straight home. But they got him to the vet right away and Toni kept us updated constantly on his condition. They took such great care of him while he was unwell, just as if he was their own dog. Allison and Brian couldn't have been better house and pet sitters! Teddy, my dog, absolutely fell in love with Allison and was clearly a happy and contented dog when I returned. Apparently Brian was perfectly acceptable too--they got along just fine. The house was in great shape when I returned, and this after they discovered a small gas leak. We had a really good time hanging out with Teddy. He was such a sweet dog and wanted nothing more than to just cuddle in our laps. He is really low maintenance and was very well-behaved for us. The house is very comfortable and in a great location...very close to everything! It is a good spot for exploring the area and would be a nice house sit for anyone wanting to check out the Lake Chapala area.

My wife and I just finished an 8-day sit for Anne and her 5 fur babies in Bacalar. What a great experience it was! Anne’s home was so comfortable with everything we could want to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. Her home is located just 2 blocks from the main plaza and within an easy 10-minute walk to the lagoon. The kitchen was well-equipped and the WiFi was fast.
