Thanks to HouseSitMexico.com we are now housesitting 7-8 months out of the year, but for the same two houses. It’s amazing how many people have never heard of the concept of free housesitting. Some of our friends in Zihuatanejo (with a large house) said that they’ve found that their “free” house sitters do a much better job than those they hire and pay. So another good aspect for homeowners to know.

I was invited to sit for Valeria and Tom for 3 weeks, the home was centrally located so very easy to get around and see what Oaxaca has to offer. Sal and Patti were great fun to play and cuddle with. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope to get back there one day

Angela took excellent care of our 2 kitties, and was great at keeping in touch while we were away, sending lots of photos. We returned to 2 very relaxed and healthy cats which was a delight. She also took great care of the apartment. Would definitely recommend!

Our time at Carolyn's house was 5 star. Coco is the sweetest dog and a real joy to care for. Carolyn's house and garden are beautiful. Ann and Mike have a home near the best supermarkets we have ever seen. The house has an amazing kitchen. Our guest accomodation was spacious. Our bedroom had a comfy bed, a bathroom/dressing room with separate shower and toilet and plenty of room for our belongings. Additionally the house includes 3 rooftop patios on different levels, a washer and dryer, accomodation for the home owners, a lounge area with TV, dining area and good internet . A cleaning lady comes once a week. We are 15 minutes walk from the supermarkets, bus stops and taxis. And 35 minutes walk from the center of town and the Parroquia church. Restaurants are everywhere. We had excellent communication with Ann before and during the sit and happy to sign a contract with Ann and Mike laying out the responsibilities for both parties. Ann checked our references which resulted in everyone comfortable and looking forward to the experience. Arriving a couple of days early gave us the opportunity to spend time some time with Ann and Mike, which was a highlight.
