Elmo and Lynne are problem-solvers. One would think with time to prepare, there would be few problems, but issues presented themselves; a lagging internet signal, the biodigester , the death of a family member between their arrival and my departure, and a dog that is very bonded to her owner and cautious of new people. I can imagine that even one of these issues could have been a meltdown for others, but Lynne and Elmo rode the wild waves, came up with creative ways to reach my dog, and three cats, managed to switch internet carriers, and discovered between problem-solving, the many tianguis of San Miguel, enjoyed getting to know my gardener,and kept me posted on all these changes while they found sources of delicious foods here in San Miguel. My primary complaint is others they have housesat for have already asked for them to return a full year ahead, so it may be difficult to fit into their calendar in the future.FIONA homeowner August 03, 2021

He was a kind and friendly young man that also spoke English and helped us when we needed translation. We also enjoyed exploring the gorgeous city. There was plenty of shopping options, big & small, with no lack of choices. There was an endless selection of restaurants, cafes, & panaderias. There was also some very nice Mercados, for great selections of fresh fruits, veggies, and other items. The street art in El Centro was second to none, and the iconic Parroquia, among many other pieces of lovely architecture were a dream. During our trip they sent us regular notes regarding the wellbeing our our pets and property but due to the extensive notes they took they obviously had no problems. Upon our return the dogs were happy and healthy and the plants and property including the collection of orchids. They entire property was as neat and clean as it was when we departed. The only issue was that our monthly allowance on our satellite internet system which is quite limited by today's standards. Joyce is a lovely lady who warmly welcomed me into her home to take care of her 2 gorgeous gatos. Joyce is very communicative and relaxed, while ensuring the house sitter has all the information they need to take care of the home and cats. Like most cats, they're not particularly smoochie, but were very easy to feed and care for and sneak in some cuddles. The location is quiet and secluded - perfect for retirees or digital nomads. Highly recommended stay.

Kirsty has a wonderful presence and is kind, caring and personable. She graced my home for two weeks in May 2021 doing a fabulous job taking care of my home and my cats, who loved her. Many great restaurants and plenty to see and do. Despite the heat and humidity at this time of year we were able to walk easily to the ocean and the Malecon. Our time in the unique home of Gerald and Astrid was short -- less than three weeks -- but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The three dogs (a Mastiff "pup"; a pit bull mix pup; and a mature Belgian Shepherd) were a delight, and kept us entertained and on our toes. The remote setting of their home, in the coastal jungle of southern Jalisco, was unforgettable. The remote setting of their home, in the coastal jungle of southern Jalisco, was unforgettable. We should have been more careful with the limited wifi access, but everything else about the assignment was a memorable experience that we will cherish. The homeowners were very accommodating, giving us our choice of several bedrooms for our stay, and transporting us to nearby beach towns so we could explore the area. It was fun to prepare meals in the "chef's kitchen" that was professionally equipped for gourmet cooking. The open-air concept and the eclectic decor of the living/dining space sets this assignment apart from any other place we've been. We enjoyed caring for the extensive tropical gardens on the property, and spending some time in the small pool.
