Carolina and family came to my home last year through housesitmexico.com. They have cared for my home and pets twice now and done a great job! Carolina stepped up and cared for my 6 rescue pets (3 dogs and 3 cats) , many house plants and also had great communication throughout my trip. She sent me photos everyday and when I came home everyone was happy and healthy. She helped me coordinate vet visits and gave my pets medicine when they needed it. Carolina also prepared their raw food diet which isn’t really that fun but she had a great attitude about it. Carolina is a thoughtful, kind and highly skilled communicator and pet-sitter. I loved chatting with her and getting to know her whole family as well. The animals loved having playtime and snuggles with the kids and I fell in love with them too. They are so sweet and respectful and understand how to be with animals. At first I was a little hesitant to have a whole family with kids to Petsit but after speaking to Carolina I realized I couldn’t have asked for a better fit. Carolina went above and beyond. Was understanding when I needed to change my house sit date end date and is now a friend who I treasure as well. CJ and Mary Ann are incredibly professional house/ pet sitters. They are committed to there bookings and will not disappoint you. We returned to a spotless clean home and 2 very happy contented dogs. We have already booked them for 2 more sits in 2023. If you need a sitter in the Lake Chapala area you have to book them soon as they are in high demand.

Paula and Reed were a pleasure to sit for - they were very welcoming and made me feel at home. Their impressive, rustic casa has amazing views of the lake and town and made for a very comfortable stay. Above all it was great spending time with and looking after Ellie and Nina, two sweet perritas with distinctive personalities, who made my time there an easy and enjoyable one.

Nicholas cared for our house and dogs for two weeks in December 2022. He was an excellent communicator—easy to arrange things with. (He was calm and cheerful even when the bus stop was not the expected one we had agreed upon to meet!) Our dogs liked him and were well cared for during our absence. Right from the beginning we felt so comfortable with Albane and Gabriel, they are very friendly, welcoming and down to earth. We looked after their two chihuahua girls Pila and Duna and their friendly boy-cat, Dali. Pila has a little heart issue and so needed her daily meds at specific times. Mary Ann & CJ took great care of Xena & Luna. They sent me pictures and noticed that Luna was not eating, they enticed her to eat by putting treats in her food. They left my apartment spotless! I would highly recommend Mary Ann and CJ to take care of your babies next time you go on vacation.

We highly recommend housesitting for Mark and Shawnea’ in Ajijic. Their home is wonderful, in a beautiful gated community with friendly neighbours. We had a car with us, but could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Mark left us with great instructions and a list of places to fill any need we might have. Prissy’s silliness had us fooled at first, but we were soon admiring her relentless spirit. She has a warm and loving disposition and appreciates every bit of attention that she is given. Chuy is simply awesome in every way. He is an indoor/outdoor cat and took a couple of days to warm up, but when he did, he definitely liked to stay close for chin scratches and brushing. If you ever get the chance to housesit for these lovely people and their pets, don’t think twice. We highly recommend the entire experience.
