HouseSitMexico provided Rose and me the opportunity to experience living in Mexico without the cost and trouble of moving. We found two sits in Lake Chapala and a third just happened to drop in our laps, so we ended up staying about four months total. Two of the sits even came with a small car. Later, we found another sit in San Miguel de Allende (also came with a car) that gave us an education about off-grid living. I highly recommend this service for anyone wanting to house/pet sit in Mexico. We also have another membership with a different company that is worldwide that we have never used.
