We feel incredibly lucky to have met Dena and Bob, their two dogs Bader and Ellie, cat Soto and the little trio of birdies. It was a wonderful experience. Bob had injured his leg and remained home recovering whilst Dena travelled and we became firm friends with the whole family. Words are not enough to describe how warm and welcoming these people are. Excellent communication, a positive attitude to everything, caring and thoughtful. This does not do them justice - they are fabulous humans and we feel truly blessed to know them. Their generosity towards us was exceptional. The pups will keep you smiling day after day. They are absolutely adorable. Bader is dignified and gentle, and extra special. A wonderful sofa companion with the most beautiful soul. Ellie is a bundle of playful fun, alert and engaging. Both dogs have superb manners and are very well trained. Soto the cat deserves his own paragraph. He is hilarious! Other than being stunningly handsome, he will strut his stuff and keep you amused. We suspect he keeps a little clock somewhere, and will remind you if a meal is overdue. The little trio of birdies will greet you with happy chirping and are lovely to watch and listen to. Dena and Bob’s home is beyond beautiful. Spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean with gorgeous terraces to relax on, wonderful bedrooms and a breathtaking roof terrace. The roof terrace has a hot tub, gas firepit and bedroom and shower. The rooftop bedroom has glass walls to allow full enjoyment of the spectacular views of San Miguel De Allende. We sat in the hot tub whilst watching the fireworks on the festival evenings - a magical experience that we will not forget. The property is magnificent but more importantly it is a much-loved home, and you will be made to feel at home there. We felt so relaxed and peaceful, and savoured every moment. Fiona is great! She took great care of the cats and sent me lovely updates on their daily lives. She also sent a report card for each pet, which I loved. Fortunately, there were no surprises. Each cat lived up to expectations :). And on leaving she sent me a report card so I knew what I was coming home to including how much cat food and litter was left. We housesat for Scott and Barbara for 2 weeks in Sept 23, and really enjoyed our time there.The location is close to Ensenada, Rosarito and the Baja wine region, which has some excellent vineyards and wineries to explre. Cassie and Tim were fantastic. They loved my animals. My dog was more energetic than he has been in years. I think because Tim and Cassie are very energetic. He is like a puppy again and he even put on weight which he really needed. The cats were all calm and happy with both Tim, Cassie, and their adult daughter. The house was immaculate when I got back and I wish they could have stayed a few days longer because I really enjoyed talking to them.

We enjoyed the Independence Day festivities in El Centro as well as from the gorgeous roof top terrace!
