She was a gracious and warm host. I was happy to hear that the dogs get enough exercise in her large yard and do not require walks. I also appreciated that Collette provides printed instructions so we didn't need to rely on our memories when we couldn't remember some detail or instruction. The five rescues were not difficult to care for. Three were very friendly. Two were more nervous but that is understandable since they were probably neglected or mistreated before Collette gave them a permanent home. Collette has been very active in animal rescue for many years. I can recommend housesitting for Collette if you are a dog lover like me.

They are very generous hosts and our comfortable room had a large en suite so we felt right at home. The BEST time during our stay was with Willy! A large, handsome golden Lab that was always affectionate, loved to play and well behaved on his many walks. It was hard to say goodbye to this big guy. We feel so fortunate for the opportunity and we highly recommend this house sit.

And then there's Frankie, quite possibly the world's sweetest, cutest and most gentle cat. She would come and sit on my chest before bed and purr loudly. A real treasure! The house was wonderful, I enjoyed the garden and the internet was stable and fast for my work. I couldn’t have asked for a better host and more loving animals to share my days with. She is the sweetest cat I've met! She informed me as to when she was ready for her meals, curled up next to me in the evenings and after awhile visited me in the mornings abed. She loves affection but is also independent. Some knowledge of Spanish is helpful with the weekly cleaner, who is very warm and friendly. And of course San Miguel is a jewel. My entire experience was calm, well supported and best of all, I felt fully trusted.....this goes a long way in being confident in someone else's home.

She picked me up from the bus and showed me around, took me to get some groceries and as I was leaving she took me to a park-like hiking area that was absolutely beautiful. Summer and Mike are a very nice couple who despite difficult logistical problems made the extra effort to arrive here in plenty of time to have a successful handover. They looked after our house and garden as if it was their own and our dog Willy was in love with them. We would have no hesitation to have them house sit for us again. They even left some snacks for us in the fridge.
