They handled it all in stride. The most challenging had to be our wonderful Golden Retriever, Phoenix. He had a relapse of his tick disease for about a week before our trip. We filled Janet and Michael in on all the requirements and what to look for. We started a group chat with our vet so they could reach her at any time and we could follow what was happening. It turned out to be more challenging than we had thought and they had to make several trips to the doctor and to the pharmacy for medications. They even came up with creative ways to get Phoenix to take his medicine! They took care of payments to our housekeeper, gardener, and the water bill. After six weeks we came home to healthy animals and a well-kept house. Diane and Paul were wonderful. Both were very caring. Paul was great with walking the pups even our sled dog Phoenix. Diane took wonderful care of our cat Koko and brushed her daily. Both responded to our questions and gave us daily updates with pictures. House was clean when we returned and the pups and cat well taken care of. We really appreciated the attention both gave to our kids while we were gone.

Bring sturdy shoes to walk Phoenix in this rugged place and to view many wild species of cactuses and dessert plants. We highly recommend housesitting for Don and Sharon. The brand new 4-bedroom home is very comfortable, and easy to care for with little maintenance. I spent hours every day in the mesmerizing community pool right across the street from the house, while Paul enjoyed the dipping pool on the screened patio. They had blistering fast internet, hundreds of TV channels, and a totally equipped office where I worked online using 4 big monitors. They even left their car for use to take the pups to and from puppy camp and for general use. Playa del Carmen is a tourist mecca, and we were able to visit that part of the Riviera Maya at low cost through this great housesit They are great hosts and any sitter would be lucky to have the opportunity to care for their furbabies while they travel.Diane & Paul Housesitter and Home owner May 08, 2022

We are currently house/pet sitting San Miguel de Allende for 5 weeks, April 27 to June 1, house/pet sitting in Ajijic June 2-23, and then house/pet sitting again in Playa del Carmen June 23-July 20th.
