Rick and Suzy are two of the most considerate and thoughtful people we have ever met. They do their best to assist in whatever way possible, and are excellent pet and house sitters. Our kitty has an eating disorder, so we keep him on a pretty firm feeding schedule, and Rick and Suzy were diligent in keeping him on track. They were wonderfully communicative, and provided photo updates while we were away. Several of those photos included our kitty Jasper sitting on one of their laps, happily snuggling the day away (and he very much missed them when they were gone). Also, they left the house spotless. Simply put, if Rick and Suzy are available for your housesit, do yourself a favor and go for it! You'd be fortunate to have them take care of your house and pet(s).

I was so lucky to have met Mauro to take care of my precious gatitos and my home in San Miguel de Allende for 2 months. Mauro is the best! Super responsible with great communication skills (perfect English). I never worried about my home or pets. Mauro created a wonderful work space on my rooftop garden with the vista of the area so I was able to relax that the kitties had company for a major part of the day. Mauro is super friendly and has that "built-in" awareness and manners of being a great guest. This is my first friend from Buenos Aires - what a wonderful experience! The only possible issue was that he told me one of my favorite dances, Tango, was for old people. But I forgave him quickly as he is so likeable. I highly recommend Mauro to any house and pet sit. Diego, Frida and I can't wait for his return.

Jan is a great host! Not only did she make sure I had everything needed for the sit, she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and enjoyed my stay. Her home is as welcoming as she is. What a full cultural experience it was to housesit for Carlos recently for the month of August. His lovely four-bedroom house in the Historic Centre matches the beauty of Puebla, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. X What a full cultural experience it was to housesit for Carlos recently for the month of August. His lovely four-bedroom house in the Historic Centre matches the beauty of Puebla, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. The location is great, close to everything you need including many tourist spots, while being in a very quiet neighborhood. As an artist, I enjoyed the artwork, paintings, ceramic sculptures, furniture, textiles, and porcelain dishes. I came in a couple of days early to meet Juanita and Chui, his two small dogs, and get the lay of the land. Carlos is an excellent host, showing me the food markets nearby, preparing simple but meaningful meals often accompanied by his Opera singing and sometimes his friends. Yes, he is a professional singer. He is very social and has a brilliant mind with a love for people. By the time he left for his trip, I knew where the banks were located, best restaurants, galleries, interesting stores, massage/spa, internet service/assistance, had water in stock and a Doctor if needed. In the evenings when there was a short rainstorm, I left the metal doors/windows open to the courtyard and listened to music while reading a book. The courtyard has all kinds of beautiful flowers that I photographed. Watering a handful of plants was very easy. His home is an easy 15 minute walk to the Spanish Institute in Puebla in the Historic District where I took immersion language classes for three weeks. The walk home was filled with lunch, shopping, museums and churches. The dogs are very easy to love and care for. They walk once a day however I walked them more often as I like the exercise and so did they. Feeding and watering them is easy. I am returning in February for another housesit.
