Jonathan and Edith are a wonderful couple, very down to earth. They are great to house sit for and really appreciated my help, even taking me out to lunch on the first day. The house is good for someone looking to get some work done in a different place. The neighborhood is quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown Ajijic and Chapala. The house is good for someone looking to get some work done in a different place. The neighborhood is quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown Ajijic and Chapala. For that reason, having a car is optimal, at least until the area's taxis are running at 100% again (no Uber and the pandemic shifted a lot of taxi drivers into other jobs). The pups are friendly, as are the cats, although Spot needed a couple of days to realize that his feeding schedule wasn't going to change.

We just completed an 18-day house sit with Sara and her incredible, well-trained, loveable dogs in Bucerias, Mexico. Having completed dozens of house sits with pets, we have never had such well-mannered pets such as Flower and Flash. I must admit they both stole our hearts and it was difficult to say goodbye. Having completed dozens of house sits with pets, we have never had such well-mannered pets such as Flower and Flash. I must admit they both stole our hearts and it was difficult to say goodbye. We must certainly give tribute to their master Sara, who is well organized and gave us explicit instructions on the details we needed to have a successful house/pet sit. Her home is lovely and spacious with only a short walk to the local beach, or hop on a bus for only 28 pesos ($1.20usd) and enjoy the many attractions of Puerto Vallarta. We would certainly count it a privilege to housesit again in the future, however, if our schedule does not permit, then you will enjoy your time in Bucerias should you be selected as a house/pet sitter for Sara.

Georgia was a joy to have in our house while we were traveling. I never felt more relaxed knowing she was caring for our cats because she would send us photos of them every day and they were clearly happy to have her in the house with them. Georgia is fun, adventurous, and independent which are qualities I value in someone traveling far from home and assuming the responsibilities of another. I had the genuine pleasure of cat sitting for Richard at his lovely home in PV. The cats are sweet and we became fast friends 🙂 The house is lovely, sitting on a hill in Centro in PV, a short walk to the Malecon. I enjoyed watching the sunset from the terrace every evening. I had a great rapport with Richard who provided me with thorough details of the home and cat routines. I would not hesitate to housesit/cat sit for Richard again. He’s a lovely gent!

Mark & Natalie looked after my two smaller dogs for about 10 weeks earlier this year (2022) They were excellent with the dogs and my home, and I would invite them backing in a flash. However they are traveling Europe for the next little while, but I believe they may be coming back to the Chapala/Ajijic Lakeside area in a few months. I hope that is the case. I would enjoy having them sit for me again, for sure.

Juanita’s home is lovely to spend time in with her rescues Chester, Maggie, and Jasmine. The two doggies are well behaved and super sweet. They like to watch TV with you in the evening and may even compete for your attention. Jasmine the cat will meow for food and cuddles but let you know when she’s received enough petting. Juanita’s green thumb provides two beautiful gardens to enjoy as well. You’ll love taking care of her animals and plants!

The house is a truncated pyramid that you would expect to see on the cover of House Beautiful. This home is located in a private gated community with a clubhouse, library, dog park, and pool with aerobic classes as well as community activities. You couldn’t help but smile back. They are loving full-size lap dogs. They thoroughly enjoy their walks down by the lake or up in the community’s private dog park. We will miss their company on our walks. Thank you for choosing us to stay in you home with your precious dogs.
