Collette was an exceptional host. Her house sitting guide and thorough home and neighborhood tour made us feel safe and informed from the start. Lilly (Leandra G.) house sat for us for over a week and was fabulous. As soon as she arrived the connection to the animals was obvious. She absolutely loves them! During the house sit my dog, Beauty, actually slept on the bed with her which she has not done in our 6 years with us. She took her for a hike in the mountains daily and additional walks. Our experience looking after 2 dogs and 3 cats in Pátzcuaro for Meg and Fred was wonderful. Meg spent a lot of time up front getting to know us through emails and Skype which made it a lot easier when we arrived. We also spent a night before they left and a night when they got back to ensure that everything was as it should be. These two were great. My house was cleaner when I got home than it was when I left. They somehow managed to get my cats to stop fighting. They also removed the weeds from my potted plants.

I highly recommend Sandy and Rob as house and pet sitters. Of course my main concern was for my sweat little doggie Coco. She is shy with strangers and I was afraid that she would be difficult and they would never see her wonderful personality. I returned home to a beautifully brushed and happy animal. Our charge, Coco, soon lost her shyness and had us playing games and running around in the garden, she was a delight to care for. We loved the garden and made good use of the plunge pool too. Her maid and gardener were very kind and also gave us a lot of information about San Miguel.We would recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet sit yet be close enough, by short taxi ride or a walk to the bus, to explore the centre of San Miguel.

Patrick was fantastic! He had 8 cats, 2 dogs and a horse to take care of and I returned home to all of them accounted for, as well as all being fat and happy! He was extremely respectful of our home and property and asked all the right questions. He approached this huge responsibility with a good sense of humour and truly cared for each animal. There were even a few that were so sad to see him go, he will know which ones I am writing about. Thank you Patrick, we hope you will return!
