It was a pleasure to have Brenda caring for my home and my baby girl for the 2 weeks I was away in the US. I felt confident from the start that Brenda would be reliable and capable. I enjoyed getting messages and photos of my fur baby throughout the time I was gone. Brenda is very peronable and fun to be with so I knew she would fit right into my community of mostly older women. The neighbors reported that they enjoyed being with her. I would definitely engage Brenda again to keep my home and... Continue Reading

Emma and Barry are beautiful people, amazing pet and housesitters, I highly recommend them. If you are fortunate enough that they are available to housesit for you do not even think about it! My 3 cats and my dog were so happy when I returned, one of my cats has leukemia and needed a special medication treatment, when i got back he was in excellent condition, even better than how I left him. My dog Preshus created a strong bond with them and I could very soon tell in the videos how happy she was to be with them. They were even able to slowly gain the trust of my little feral Pepita who is a very scaredy kitty. The house was in excellent condition and so clean when i returned, the garden was also really well cared for. Really an all around great experience. I look forward to seeing Emma and Barry whenever they are in town again, and I hope I get to have them housesit for me if I have to travel again in the future.Daniela homeowner March 03, 2025
It was a pleasure to house sit for Lila and Milli (Lila's pet). I got on with Milli from the start. I followed Lila’s plant schedule to ensure all plants stayed healthy. Milli and I had daily walks after feeding and afternoon sun soaking on the property. I stayed in contact with Lila throughout my house sitting assignment. If available I would love to house sit for Lila and Milli again.

Daniela’s home is a beautiful Artist home - light filled, soft and woolly, designed by Daniela herself. The home is very spacious, full of natural light, art and a plethora of books. The guest room where we stayed has views of the beautiful churches and felt a bit like sleeping in the treetops. The kitchen is also fully equipped for cooking and baking. The neighborhood is one of our personal favorites in SMA with an abundance of restaurants and cafes a street away and Centro just a short 20 minute stroll. Daniela provided extensive, informative instructions and was in constant communication during her time away. We felt very comfortable and equipped to care for her fur family. But the highlight for our stay was spending time with her beautiful fur family. Preshus is a sweet natured, gentle soul. Loveable and always by your side. The excitement she displays when she hears ‘vamanos’ for her daily walks is adorable. The cats all have their own endearing personalities. Nano is independent yet loves his cuddles and lap sits and would often come upstairs to greet us in bed in the morning. Despite having leukemia, he’s a very active little fella and it was wonderful to see him increasingly thrive during our stay after taking rounds of new medication. Pushkin loves a natter, he would often come over to us for a chat. Seeing his head down the plant jug as opposed to drinking from his water bowl always gave us a laugh. Then there is sweet little Pepita or ‘Pebble’. Very shy and reserved however by the end of our six week stay, she was out of her hiding place and spending time with us in the lounge. We truly adore these beautiful rescue animals. We even had the opportunity to meet Musgo and Lana, Daniela’s two pet donkeys, which was a great experience. A heartfelt thank you, Daniela, for having us stay in your beautiful home and look after your darlings. We look forward to catching up with you and the fur family again in San Miguel.Emma & Barry housesitter March 03, 2025

A morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on the lovely patio with a breathtaking view of Lake Chapala are perfect bookends to the day. Their neighborhood is secure and very friendly. The community center offers a pool, library, and fitness room. Friday night gatherings offer a great opportunity to visit with old friends and meet new ones. The reliable WIFI offers us the convenience we need to communicate with all our house and pets sits. Evita and Luna are joyful holiday hosts, always ready to please. They are a wonderful pair of miniature schnauzers, ever ready with tail wagging affection and backyard antics. Their intelligence allows them to be eager and quick learners. On our stays Evita and Luna have shared car rides to the dog park or lakeside forays for an adventure away from home. During our stays they have learned new routines which endear them to us all the more, if that is possible. We wholeheartedly thank Kimball and Russell for sharing their home and pet family with us over the last couple of Christmas seasons. We very much look forward to the same for the 2025 holiday. When you and your dog connect with your house sitter it makes a wonderful trip. With Courtney, I can assure you that your pets will be loved. My Bella was searching for Courtney after she departed. It is nice to sit and chat about your love of Mexico and its benefits. I give Courtney 5 stars as an animal lover and house sitter.

We arrived the day before their departure to learn more about the routines and then went to dinner together. The home is beautiful, immaculately clean, and we had a lovely room with an ensuite bathroom. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful outdoor spaces and enjoyed the gorgeous views from the upper terrace. A very helpful welcome guide was provided and Michael was quick to respond to texts before and during our sit. They are very kind individuals and made us feel welcome from the start. Jasper is easy to love and it was difficult to leave him when our sit came to an end. He is very laid back and accepted us both quickly. Jasper especially enjoyed sitting with us on the patio lounge chairs and could be found sunning himself on the upstairs patio when not by our side. During the time of our stay, Jasper was experiencing skin issues and needed cream put on his belly. Although he didn't like it, Jasper was still very cooperative and knew he would receive a "treat" afterward. At the time, he was on a schedule for small meals which was no issue for us. It is clear how much Michael and Janie love him and have tried many different things to figure out what is causing his skin irritation. Jasper loves his morning brushing and of course drinks from the bathroom faucet. He consistently makes you smile and is one of the most delightful cats we've cared for in our last 4 years of travel. Michael and Janie were wonderful hosts as well and we highly recommend sitting for them.Natalie & Mark housesitter February 25, 2025

Since we were already in San Miguel and heading to Guanajuato prior to the start of our sit, they allowed us to store some items at their house for a week. This was a very kind gesture, along with helping us receive a couple of packages before the sit began. We arrived the evening before their trip and learned more about Buster's routines. A helpful welcome guide was provided and instructions about Buster's recent stomach issues. Lisa and David's home is lovely with much of Lisa's artwork displayed. It is very clean and has a wonderful terrace on the 2nd level with a view of the city. We had a nice bedroom with an ensuite bathroom on the first floor. Lisa was helpful and responsive to texts before and during our sit. Buster is easy to love and it was difficult to leave him when our sit came to an end. He enjoys playing ball more than any other dog we have cared for and accepted us both quickly. Buster especially enjoyed going to the "park" area within the gated neighborhood to play and do his business. We took him 3 times a day for exercise because it was fun for all of us to get outside and we enjoyed seeing him so happy. It also provided the opportunity for us to meet neighbors and be invited to a birthday gathering for the property manager, Javier, who is absolute joy to be around. Javier helped with various things such as retrieving a dog toy and assisting us with buying drinking water...even driving us to the store! Javier also ordered and repaired a dryer knob when it broke (and Lisa kindly reimbursed us). Javier is a wonderful part of the Miraflores community and speaks English. At the beginning of our sit, Buster was experiencing stomach issues and vomitted bile a couple of times...and then acted fine afterward. Fortunately, the vet is just across the street and Lisa previously discussed this possibility and left us pesos to pay the vet if needed. Buster was very cooperative about going to the vet and taking pills to calm his tummy. It seemed the problem was mainly anxiety and he was fine after that. You wouldn't believe he is a senior dog given how active he is with play and interest in his toys. It was an absolute pleasure caring for Buster all while enjoying the beautiful city of San Miguel.Natalie & Mark housesitter February 25, 2025

Chaly was very welcoming when we arrived, made us breakfast, and was the perfect hostess. Ian picked us up from the bus station and gave us a tour of the house. We were asked to arrive the day before their trip and learn about Willy's feeding and walking routines, how to care for the plants, the pool, and other details such as the watering and hummingbird feeders. It was nice to see their wonderful neighborhood of Los Frailes and where Willy likes to walk. Ian and Chaly have a beautiful home and Chaly is a very talented decorator and artist, with a gorgeous mural painted on an entire wall in the living area. The garden space is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds. There is a nice terrace upstairs we used during early morning and late evening with a fabulous view of the presa (reservoir). The plunge pool was refreshing in the middle of the day and was easy to care for with Chaly's detailed instructions. There is an alarm system and Ian showed us how to use it when entering or leaving the house, to arm it at night and disarm in the morning. There was a gardener and a very sweet lady who came to clean the house and Chaly left pesos for us to pay them. We did experience a tense situation with Ian at one point but it was resolved the following morning. Chaly was very warm, communicative, and responded quickly to texts throughout our sit. Willy was so much fun to care for and it was difficult to leave him when our sit came to an end. He has a morning and evening routine to eat and go on a walk in the neighborhood directly after. We had a blast exploring different routes because the area is in the campo and extends much farther than we knew. Willy learned quickly we were the boss on his walks, which is important from the start because he is a large and strong labrador. He is very friendly with people and most dogs, but we always walked with a large stick because stray dogs in the neighborhood can create unease or aggression. Willy enjoyed playing catch in the garden and being with us wherever we were, inside or outside. He even snuck into our room at night to sleep, so we moved his bed from the hall and he was perfectly happy to watch over us (although we always felt safe). Everyone in the neighborhood was friendly and welcoming, loves Willy, and knew him by name. Los Frailes sometimes has performances in the park near the house and we were able to attend one with a very talented violinist. There is also a Saturday market in the park close to the neighborhood entrance you can't miss, with fruits and vegetables, artwork, handcrafts, and homemade food and remedies. By the end of our month there, Los Frailes felt like home and we were sad to say goodbye to Willy.Natalie & Mark housesitter February 25, 2025
