It was such a delight to truly relax when I was away, knowing that everything was not only taken care of, but improved while I was gone. Mike noticed needed repairs and other issues and coordinated with the repair people I sent, very frequently. They both responded asap when I contacted them and since they had to leave and I could not return, they met with my next house/pet sitter and throughly trained them on the operation of the house and the excellent care of my kitties. I could see that Rosa and Diego really bonded with them with full trust. Linda put her love into the plants and I can see that they are thriving way beyond how I left them! What a great couple - always happy, in a good mood, happy to help. It was truly a joy to share my home and kitties with them and I would not hesitate to recommend them for any and all house sits as well as returning to my house. I already invited them!

Dolly and Janet's cozy apartment was very comfortable and convenient to Centro. Janet amiably went through Dolly's routine before she left for her trip and was very communicative while she traveled. Dolly is a sweet and low-maintenance pup who likes to smell things on the street and have morning cuddles. She is very well behaved. I miss her already! Thanks Janet for letting me take care of Dolly.

It blew my mind how well behaved these dogs were. They didn't jump or facelick or even try to steal food. They were cuddly without being clingy and just total sweethearts. Mary, the homeowner, was a sweetheart too. She was so generous to let me stay a few days after her return. She also is a great tour guide. It was interesting to visit a magnetic energy site and beautiful to drive into the hills to see the waterfalls. She was happy to take me where I needed to go and also gave me free reign ... I also wanted to mention there is an enjoyable pool in town w good food called Revista. I highly encourage you to give Mascota a try.

Michelle did a great job of taking care of my home and cat. I was gone for 2 weeks and it was possible I’d have to be gone longer. She offered to stay longer if needed, which was very helpful. I would be happy to use her again and recommend her as a house sitter.

We had a long stay taking care of Cheri’s home and cats. Diego and Rosa were a delight to babysit. These kitties were very independent and would come and go as they pleased. The home was very clean and is considered to be in one of the finest areas in San Miguel near restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The views were wonderful from the rooftop balcony. Cheri has an ongoing housekeeping service and professional gardener who cares for the vast amount of plant life throughout the home. The positive energy this home puts out was memorable. We would be very happy to return to this lovely estate in the most desirable city of San Miguel de Allende.

They struck me as fair-minded, grateful, hard working, playful, and private people for whom opening their house to a stranger was a stretch. I immediately knew that I wanted to help them. In housesitter relationship, I value communication, orderliness, and a simplified routine for the animals, and Claire and Scott checked on all three. Their communication was just the right amount to stay connected and informed, and their response time and patience fielding questions was great. They were wonderful about including me in their dinners, and suggesting places to go. It felt like I was meeting two new friends. The house itself is a beauty. They designed it themselves. Surrounded by their private and lush jungle. Very little car noise from the nearby highway. Mostly, I heard birds, frogs and enjoyed some of the best full moon viewings and firefly evening shows in memory. Internet is satellite — a high standard in Mexico. There is a wonderful trampoline exercise room, and a lovely spare apartment for the sitter with a quality mattress. The jungle is hot — and there are overhead fans and AC units which need to be balanced in their use, because they are 100% solar — and solar has its own idiosyncrasies. This is a perfect place to disconnect. I would recommend a housesitter who is good with solitude; proactive about cleaning, assertive enough to keep dogs on the routines, not squeamish about crawling jungle insects (I made no war on the jungle; I just got used to removing many a creature with a harmless little trap that Scott uses that works every time!) The doggies are fun, upbeat, loving, obedient and loyal to the house, with gentle spirits. Be you so lucky to meet them!

I came home to a relaxed and happy pup and a tidy home. Jordyn handled not only my Dolly with care, she juggled her schedule to accommodate my flight delays and several Amazon packages that were delivered at odd hours. She’s professional and responsible and totally trustworthy. She even wrote postcards to undecided voters for me! Do come visit us again when you’re in SMA. Thank you, Jordyn from Dolly and me.

We feel so lucky to have found Eric at such short notice. He arrived 4 days before we left and it was a perfect time for us to show him the ropes and get to know the dogs without it all feeling like a rushed process. He was attentive to our requirements, asked lots of useful questions and took his own notes on top of the list we had given him. He was also very capable at finding out information locally and meeting people that could help him with transport. When we returned the house was tidy and clean and the dogs were calm and content. We would definitely recommend Eric as a wonderful house sitter and would happily have him come stay again. Layla and Sergio were wonderful. Our dog Sammie was given great care and attention. During their stay there was a tropical storm and they kept us updated. Everything was fine and they were great keeping our Sammie calm. The next day the storm subsided and they sent a picture of Sergio in a raincoat and our Sammie in his raincoat out for a walk. Herb and Fernando were amazing with our dog Sammie. They took great care of Sammie and our home. They checked in with us and sent pictures. Their home is in a private gated complex which is safe and easy for enjoyable daily walks with Sammie who will take you through all the streets. His feeding routine is well defined in your instruction manual and once you do it a couple times it is really simple. We had a great stay watching Carol and Bill's home, and especially taking care of Sammie who we still think about. Thank you Carol, Bill and Sammie for a wonderful HouseSitMexico experience.
