I simply had a wonderful time at Marie's. Her lovely two cats are just amazing just a little shy at the begining but didn't take much time after we started chatting long nice meow conversations. There are many nice hidden nice places walking distance around the place and I am glad Marie had me to be her sitter this time.

We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Cody & Sooni over the Christmas/New Year period for Peggy. Both dogs are very loving and easy to look after. This was quite a lengthy sit for us as we usually only do a few weeks. Peggy was very easy to communicate with and made sure that we were comfortable. You do need to be around most of the time as the dogs need to be walked several times a day, but we found it very manageable. The neighborhood is very Mexican (which is great, since we're in Mexico) and there are lots of little shops nearby. We could easily walk pretty much everywhere we needed to go. If, for some reason, you wanted to go to the 'big' grocery store it was very inexpensive to catch a taxi or an uber. We found most of what we needed though just down the street at the corner store. You're also walking distance to Centro and we would often take the dogs there on our morning walks. The house itself is very comfortable and there are gorgeous views from the dining room and rooftop. They totally took charge and I knew that they were doing everything that could be done. Cody has been searching for them since they left, and I know he's missing them. I'm sure he feels they're 'his family' now - and so do I! When I returned my house was spotless, Vic had made some minor repairs for me, and Kathy even made a delicious dinner for all of us. We have used Housesitmexico many times over the past few years and I have to say, although most have been outstanding, Kevin and Taz are by far THE BEST! They were perfect in everyway possible. The house was kept perfectly, Beauty, our dog and the 2 cats had the best care. We received daily updates with photos, a gourment dinner and a lasting friendship. I can not say enough positive things about Kevin and Taz. We wished they lived her so we could see them all the time!

We were very happy to have Karen housesit for us and our cat Belle. We were able to meet her brother Keith, and we found them both interesting and delightful. The house and Belle were very well looked after. Karen was even able to troubleshoot a leaking water filter. Her Spanish is perfect! Karen is welcome to housesit anytime and we absolutely recommend her without reservation and wish her the best for her traveling future!

Kristen lives in a fabulous location- Condesa. Her apt is bigger than it looks in the photos. The neighborhood connects to other wonderful neighborhoods, and Parque Espana, and Parque Mexico. The tree-lined avenues are just a delight. I am a visual person so I was in a wonderland. Kristen is a delight and I fell in love with Roxy. She is a very mellow girl. She likes being brushes, It is a good way to bond with her. Fun place!

The grounds are immaculately landscaped, and the rear outside area in a beautiful garden with walking paths and tables, a great place to sit and read in the afternoon next to a bubbling brook built into the landscape. Freddy & Ron are a very cordial couple. An advantage of this sit is that, as much as we enjoy caring for pets, that responsibility was not present, and we were free to spend our days as we wished. FYI: The home is at the far end of the development, almost a mile walk to the nearest bus stop. In November of 2020, the taxi fare was 80 pesos to the city center (around $4 or so). Busses run regularly and were 7 pesos each way. (30 cents or so). On the other hand, Los Frailes is a beautiful development filled with many large, beautiful homes, and the ambiance is peaceful and quiet. Karen and her brother completed a two and a half week house and pet sitter assignment for me. The pets took to both of them right away because they know animal lovers when they meet them. It was obvious, when I returned, they had been very well cared for. I can’t thank them enough for their conscientious caregiving!

Petsitting for Deborah was a joy. The animals were so easy to look after & they all stole my heart (especially Colita!). There were 4 cats & 2 dogs, and they were all sweethearts. There is a shop nearby for supplies, but she also had bikes which made it handy to get about as there are cycle lanes all the way to Chapala. We used to cycle to the small Plaza or Walmart all the time. They had started to dig up the cycle lane before we left (to renovate I'm sure) so it'll be great when they're don... Continue Reading

I only mention this for anyone who may be working online, we had some super stressful days where we couldn't even load our emails or a web page.
