Romeo greeted us with affection upon our arrival at Toni’s home. He was alert to goings on outside his casa, but not overly vocal. When out of the house, Romeo quietly surveyed the end of his calle, sometimes pausing at his friend’s door. He would not venture past his house towards a busy street. During walks on lead he needed encouragement to get beyond his calle.
Once down to a nearby soccer field, Romeo happily walked with us to the malecón. He needed some restraint near other dogs and was less comfortable walking busy streets. We were happy to see Romeo recognized and greeted by the community on walks. Several children we met knew him too and were happy to share kibble treats we provided. At day’s end we welcomed him for a cuddle in a very comfortable bed before he retired to his own on the floor.
Toni’s home was comfortably efficient while reflecting her creative sensibility. A Mexican color palette was bright without being overwhelming. We give Toni’s sit high marks for pet behavior, excellent communication, and a walkable, welcoming local community.
Thank you for choosing us, Toni.SaM & David Housesitter
