Stacy and Jon’s home is a gem, and their two dogs, Harken and Obi, are an absolute delight—super bonded, full of personality, and a joy to be around. They were easy to care for, just a bit excited (especially when the ball comes out!), but always sweet and playful.
The property itself is very well-stocked, clean, and comfortable—truly everything you’d need. The casita had great A/C, which made a huge difference during the hot month of May. The sound system was a bonus—I even got to have my own little graduation celebration, and the quiet surroundings meant I could enjoy it without worry.
Stacy and Jon are the kind of hosts you hope for: thoughtful, easygoing, and genuinely kind. I really appreciated how they gave me space to settle in and trusted me with their home and pups. Every sitter has a different rhythm and reason for traveling—mine included taking Spanish classes—and they were totally supportive of that, just as they described in advance. I was able to step out for a few hours a day, and everything worked out great with the dogs and with any housekeepers or visitors.
The neighborhood is very local and walkable. Bodega Aurrera (Walmart) is close by, and there are a few nice cafes and restaurants around. Ubers were always fast and easy—I never had a single issue getting around.
Truly, this was an incredible sit. Stacy and Jon are down-to-earth, considerate people who focus on what really matters, and I’d return in a heartbeat if I could.
