One Month! October is Perfect in Lake Chapala
Chapala / Ajijic, Jal, Mexico
The Lake Chapala area is beautiful with perfect weather. A large expat immigrant community with a lot of activities like inexpensive thermal hot spring day resorts, several malecons, many restaurants, kayaking, social clubs with cards, poker, mahjongg and other games, many music venues, English theaters, and a variety of events at the Lake Chapala Society. It is also a great jumping off point for many day trips: Guadalajara, Tequila, Mazamitla, Mezcala, and more.
Starlink internet service.
The weather here is pretty perfect year round. I have air conditioners that probably won't be needed.
Chapala town and Ajijic are an 8 minutes drive or bus ride. Guadalajara airport is 40 minutes. Guadalajara is 45-75 minutes drive. There is an infinity of restaurants and activities and excursions in this area. We even have two English language movie theaters and three performance theaters. If you tell me your interests, I can connect you to the activities you might like--everything from hiking, poker games, yoga, live theaters (English), horseback riding, kayaking, social club events, art shows, 3 malecons on the lake to stroll, and so much more.
It would be best if you have your own car. I may be able to arrange for you to use my car just locally. Ubers and buses are easy for getting around. Feel free to ask me any questions.
- I have a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, comfortanle, well equipped home in a very nice, friendly neighborhood. I am happy to take you on a Zoom tour of the house. It is walkable to the lake, many restaurants, a couple of English theaters, and San Antonio Tlayacapan plaza.

Responsibilities
- Looking for extreme dog lovers with a lot of experience, preferably a couple, as it can be difficult for one person to walk them both. I have two medium/large sized dogs. They require 2-3 long walks daily and trips to the park to run off leash. Feed twice daily. They need lots of loving attention. They will return your affections. They are nice, well trained dogs. They are not walked on leash often so are not great on leash, especially for one person.
- Potted plants inside and on the patio need watering twice per week.
- Possibly receive housekeeper and gardner 2 or 3 times.
- Ability to speak spanish is strongly preferred in order to work with any tradesperson who you might have to call upon to fix something in the house.
