San Miguel de Allende in Colorful October
San Miguel , Gto, Mexico
From my livingroom couch you look across to 11 steeples of the churches of centro historico. From here you can enjoy the fireworks that are part of every life in this celebratory town. I designed my home to be cozy and convenient. The open plan living, dining kitchen with 1 bedroom, guest bedroom and ensuite master bath are all at street level. A porch with couch and chairs wraps around the main living area. The guest quarters are a level below, consisting of ensuite bedroom, outdoor sala, swimming lap pool, and art studio. There are gardens all around the house, views and plenty of space for relaxing indoors and out. It is a short walk to the Fabrica Aurora Art Center with restaurants snd galleries, as well as a garden walk to shops, cafes, and family run grocery stores. In 15 minutes you can walk to the main square, public bilingual library, theatres and literally hundreds of eateries, from street food to chic restaurants.
I have a small fish pond near the entryway and the fish get feed 3x a day.
Potted plants may need water between visits from the housekeeper and gardener.
