San Miguel de Allende is a UNESCO world heritage site dating back 500 years. At 6500’, our year-round weather is a delight. We live in a vibrant arts community with historic Spanish colonial architecture, cobblestoned streets, music, processions, food and photo opportunities everywhere. San Miguel has been voted “Best City in the World” several times by Conde Nast Traveller and Travel & Leisure magazines.

Our lovely new apartment is located in a gated apartment community with a large park and free covered parking with quiet and friendly neighbors, both Mexican and expats. We’re located 1 block from the San Antonio church and 2 blocks from the Instituto Allende on the Ancha de San Antonio, walking distance to everything, and a 10 minute walk to the main Plaza and Parroquia. Buses are within a 3 minute walk, and Uber and taxis are readily available to take you anywhere. 

There are 40+ restaurants within walking distance, bars, cafes, galleries, shops, as well as our local Mercado Sano with organic food, 2 liquor stores, 3 drug stores, and the Rosewood Hotel. There are also 2 large upscale supermarkets about a 15-20 minute walk.

Our light filled 3^rd floor apartment is a 1 BR, 2BA plus art studio, laundry room with a washer & dryer, living room, and fully equipped kitchen with a spice rack to die for! The master bedroom has a boveda ceiling and a king size bed with a 7’ picture window and gorgeous views of the Parroquia and Centro, as well as an en suite bath with a walk-in shower. The open concept living room has a wraparound couch and a 42” smart TV (Roku) & Firestick loaded with Netflix, Amazon Video, SMAtv and more. Our high-speed internet service with TotalPlay is fast and reliable. We also have unlimited music through Alexa. My original art is throughout the apartment.

Our 360º private roof deck is the icing on the cake, complete with plants, gas BBQ, table for 8 and small cocktail area to view the stunning panorama day and night. Lounge chairs are on the upper deck to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktails.

Butchie is our 16-17 year old Maltese-mix, 12 lbs. of pure lovable white fluff. He's in good health for an older dog, and loves to lounge around the house and is more of a house cat than a dog. He sleeps a lot and enjoys a walk several times/day in the private garden in the compound. He likes to sleep on top of the big bed at night. He is an absolute delight!

Responsibilities

1 – Take care of Butchie:

         Feed 2-meals/day

         Walk 3-4x/day within the communal garden only, no need to walk on the streets 

         Lots of cuddles

3 – Trash pickup is 3x/week (Tues, Thurs, Sat), at the front gate.

Our housekeeper comes to clean on Thursdays for 4 hours (we’ll pay her, she has a key). All utilities are included in the house sit.
