My one bedroom apartment with a flower filled balcony is nestled in a forested canyon in the Colonia Centro of San Miguel de Allende. It is a part of an historic and architecturally well designed condo complex with an Olympic size pool, very rare for the area. Even though the apartment feels like it's in a nature reserve, the walk to the Jardín in the heart of Centro is only ten minutes away. The internet connection is good. Taxis and buses are available, but the town is easily walkable. However the hills of San Miguel de Allende and the cobblestone streets do require good walking shoes.

My amazing Bengal cat, Tigerlily, is strikingly beautiful with enormous green eyes. She has a saucy personality and is a powerful indoor/outdoor kitty. She communicates more vocally than any cat I've ever known. She likes to keep me informed of what she is doing and acknowledges my presence with a polite "meow." She loves to be in her environment outdoors but also enjoys her deep calm for daytime indoor napping. She especially loves to rest on her cushion on the balcony and feel the cool breezes.

Responsibilities

My home, balcony garden, and cat are fairly low maintenance.  Tigerlily requires feeding three times a day, more or less. She gives a hearty meow when she wants to come inside or go outside. She has a sonorous voice. She meows when she asks to be fed. In the heat of summer, that we're having now, she likes to go out at night and will then sleep most of the day. She appreciates a peaceful home.

The flowers in pots  on the balcony require watering every other, to every two days. I have a garden hose in the small bodega on the stair landing at the entrance to my apartment. I can usually accomplish the watering in five minutes. There is also a potted garden in the sitting area on the landing by my apartment entry door. It takes just a few minutes to water that too. The property has gardeners who also water the outside garden on my landing.

The housekeeper, who comes every two weeks, keeps the place very clean. She cleans it from top to bottom, washes and changes the sheets, and washes and folds the towels. There is not much the house sitter needs to do in terms of home maintenance.
