I had another house needing home improvement so I asked him if he would like to sit for that house and supervise some renovation work. He said, Yes!” When I arrived there to meet him, I realized that the house was in need of more than just a coat of paint and some plumbing repairs. Andrew was still willing to work with us and he reassured us “complex projects are my forte!” For three months he managed painting, plumbing and electrical crews of Mexicans and led them to a conclusion I was very happy with. Along the way, he ensured that we would be able to make key decisions. Also, he kept us informed by showing us daily photos of the progress of each project. We gave him a $10,000 USD budget and he produced daily financial reports when there were material expenses, payroll and other miscellaneous expenses. Every penny spent was well documented. He gave us photos of receipts. Near the end of the project we arrived at the newly renovated house. There were no surprises, because he kept us well informed on all aspects of the project. Susan and Bob came to our rescue when a previously planned sitter cancelled due to illness at the last minute. Luckily, they live nearby and responded immediately to come and meet the dogs and us. While we were gone, they sent pictures showing the dogs comfortably sprawled out in laps (traitors!) and everybody comfortable and happy. Marla and Liviu were the PERFECT people to care for our 11 month old dog, Apollo. They kept us informed and updated and when we came back from our 7 week trip, Apollo was a better behaved pup, and our house was in tip top shape. I 100% recommend them for house and pet sitting. They are kind, considerate and responsible.

I absolutely loved meeting my recent house sitters, Valerie and Jack! They were so lovely and wonderful at taking care of my dogs, cats, plants and home. Taking care of Kim and Willy's house was a pleasure. Her beautiful home sits on a quiet hill overlooking Tenacatita Bay, giving you breathtaking views of the ocean and mangroves. The town of La Manzanilla was quiet (which I thoroughly appreciated) but with plenty of options for eating and recreation. Kim and Willy introduced me to a couple of their friends, who very kindly provided information about the town and took me out for dinner on a couple of occasions. This was a great housesitting assignment, communication with Kim and her husband Willy was always great and they made sure I was all set up for the assignment. A very lovely couple. Elton and Giulina from Brazil are the best house and pet sitters I've ever had. They took care of my labrador Coco like she was their own. They speak fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese; perfect to communicate with me and my workers at Lake Chapala. They left the house organized and clean. They even washed my car and filled the gas tank. I hope to have them pet sit again! Carolyn

I am so grateful to have met Maira and had her stay in my home with my animals and plants for 10 days. Maira is a lovely person with amazing communication skills. We checked in at least once a day and she was so sweet to send me pics of my pets and video chat with me from time to time. I came back to my home in perfect condition and she even gifted me her book which she wrote and is heartwarming. Would love to have Maira back and really enjoyed her company as well in the time we were together.

We appreciated that the house sit plans included overlap days on both Mirna's arrival and departure dates for orientation and later for some more get-to-know-you time. On arrival, we were introduced to her next-door neighbour and a close friend who lived nearby, both of whom checked in with us a couple of times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. Her home was really taken care of by a woman who cleaned x3/week and a gardener who cared for the landscaping. Mirna called several times while away to do check-ins which we appreciated. She is so approachable that we felt we could contact her anytime. There were a couple of issues affecting the internet that Mirna attended to promptly and helped us arrange times for service people to come to the house at times that worked for both parties. We were made to feel very comfortable with closet and dresser space, a private bathroom, full use of the kitchen and living room, etc. Mirna left us suggestions of things to do and where to eat. While her home is within walking distance to Centro and other interesting neighbourhoods as well as a gallery, she left us a vehicle so that we could explore a little further away. Finally, Sofi is an adorable, well-behaved dog who is a pleasure to be with. We look forward to returning to Sofi and Mirna's home in a couple of months and are confident in recommending a house and Sofi-sit with Mirna to other sitters.
