I cannot imagine finding a better team to housesit / petsit than Kathy and Doran. They stayed in our house and took care of our dog for a month - we would recommend them 1000% to anyone who is lucky enough to have them. Our dog Charlie was completely spoiled - so much so that I am not sure he was too excited to see us when w returned! Not only did Kathy and Doran take care of Charlie but they were able to trouble shoot and fix a couple of minor problems with the house while we were away. ... Continue Reading

Carol and Mike arrived early to take care of our animals. It was perfect because there was a lot going on. One of our cats had recently had surgery and needed special attention while we were gone and we had just unexpectedly adopted a new puppy. They took to our animals immediately and the animals reacted in kind. Even with all the surprises, we felt very comfortable leaving for our trip. We had some nice “getting to know you” WhatsApps before meeting Don and Sharon. Don and Sharon are friendly, warm and generous. They let us use their guest casita for a week or so both before and after the house sit, which helped our travel plans enormously. As Sharon had told us, the casita is not extensively equipped but we were able to freely use the facilities of the casa to do laundry, prepare some meals, etc. Don and Sharon treated us to a tour of the wine valley, including two... As Sharon had told us, the casita is not extensively equipped but we were able to freely use the facilities of the casa to do laundry, prepare some meals, etc. Don and Sharon treated us to a tour of the wine valley, including two excellent tastings and a fabulous lunch. All we had to do was sit back and enjoy it. We were also pleasantly surprised when Don offered us the use of his car, something we’d not talked about in advance. They are very organised people. They clearly explained how to care for the 5 wonderful dogs and cats, each with his or her unique personality. The animals were a joy to be with. Just lots of fun. Don also explained all the water, heating and electrical systems around the house. The casa is wonderfully appointed and has a gorgeous patio with spectacular views and sunsets. We 100% recommend Don and Sharon.

I was so lucky to find Michele for a last minute housesit. She took great care of my home and kitty, Ginger while on my stay. I so appreciated her communicating with me in a timely manner. Loved that she sent photos of Ginger while I was away. She came the day before so I could show her the house and Ginger's habits. When I let her know that some construction was starting up again next door, she took it in stride with no complaints. I would highly recommend Michele for a housesit!

Nicole & Matt are a wonderful couple of people and house/dog sitting for Lola and Bodhi was really fun. The house is located in a prime spot, super close to Centro (walking) but far enough to be pretty quiet when tourists come through on weekends. The house is great, with a gorgeous yard and plenty of space. The house and garden were cleaned/maintained twice a week during my stay, making it easy to take care of. Nicole is great with communication and a kind and generous person. The upstairs bedroom can get hot in the late afternoon but does cool down with a fan and opening doors and windows. There is a camera/alarm system that you can use at night, and an extra padlock on the gate helped me feel very safe as a solo female traveler. I would love to take care of these dogs and the house again in the future!

Marni was a wonderful pet and house sitter! She was very communicative through the whole process and we felt very comfortable knowing she was taking great care of our home and two dogs. Jim & Victoria were organized, hospitable, and communicative before and during their travels.Their home is the perfect location to enjoy all that Ajijic has to offer, with easy access by car, bus or walking to restaurants and grocery. The house is one of four within a gated culture-de-sac with amiable neighbors, willing to chat or answer questions. Being owner occupied, the home is tidy and very well maintained with maid and gardeners included. Highly recommend!
