I live in the Centro area of San Miguel de Allende, in a 3 BR 1 bath house about 10-15 minutes walk to the main square or Jardin. I have a back yard with grass and front garden with a car port.  I have a car that can be used for going to the big grocery store, Comer. The neighborhood is San Antonio and my house is close to small stores and restaurants. San Miguel is a very walk-able small city. The organic market, Marcado Sano, is about 20 minutes away. Taxis are now 80 pesos which is $4.55 USD at the current rate of exchange. DiscoverSMA is one web site that lists information and events happening in SM.

I have really good internet service and no one has complained that it is slow or not working. Depending on your sensitivity one can choose between 2,4G and 5G.

I have a small dog, Bella, at 9  is very friendly, happy, loves people, and is starting to. She gets walked twice a day around 8a and 5:30. She's on anti-anxiety tabs 2X a day. Zoe, my cat is 10, and is a very friendly and independent cat, her litter box needs to be cleaned when dirty, though both will do their business in the gardens. The gardens need to be watered once a week depending on how dry it is. My cleaning lady comes on Sats and waters the gardens then as well.

I like having sitters come a day early so I can show the quirks of the house and the animal routines, which is why I posted the start date a day earlier than my departure.

Responsibilities

Most important of course is caring for Bella and Zoe. 1st thing in the morning, I give Bella her med, and Zoe get a 1/2 tab of chondriton, I feed both around 7a, have my coffee, and then walk Bella at 8.  Zoe is pretty easy to care for, she's friendly and often gets pushed aside by Bella, who can be needy (and is jealous of attention to Zoe). Dinner is at 5, and then I wait 45-60 mins before taking Bella on her evening walk.  In Dec&Jan it will be dark by 6 so walking Bella at 5 or 5:30.The animals get a noon time snack of a few kibble and another snack before bed time around 9. I will leave written instructions as well, and show you where everything is the day before I leave.

Olivia, my cleaning lady, comes from 9-1 on Saturdays. She vacuums, dusts, mops and organizes if needed. She doesn't speak English, and knows some and is easy going. She's great at correcting my Spanish and I learn new words all the time from her.

The use of my car is available. It is automatic, small hatchback, easy to drive and park to get around town, especially if one the animals need be to taken to the vets. I have no insurance on the car so following the City driving rules is important (speed limit in the city is 20klm or about 11 mph, on the hiway it is 50klm or what ever the traffic is going)
