Routine:
- She eats twice per day - once in the morning, once in the evening. One cup of food.
- She takes fluoxetine (two pills) once per day with breakfast, in a pill pocket or with some peanut butter.
- She is very lazy in the mornings. She will willingly use the bathroom outside in the garden at her convenience.
About Parmesan:
- She's very sweet once she meets new people. Kind of a loner but affectionate. Very smart.
- She gets nervous around other dogs since she is a rescue. We ask you to avoid dog parks or areas with many dogs around.
- She is terrified of thunderstorms. On days when it's going to rain we will give her 1 gabapentin pill 45-60 minutes before the storm. If there's rain in the forecast, you should plan to be in the house with her. She is an escape artist and has hurt herself trying to get out of the house during particularly bad storms and needs to be watched. She will pant and tremble but your presence will comfort her. She'll calm down as soon as it's over.
- She's fine in the house for up to 8 hours by herself- make sure she has gone to the bathroom, leave some music on the TV and give her a treat before you leave and she'll be fine.
Other responsibilities:
- Please water the plants inside and the herb garden outside. There is a gardener that takes care of the decorative plants outside.
- After Parmesan uses the bathroom, please spray the turf with the enzyme sprayer to keep it from smelling.
