One Month! Spend May in Ajijic: a Pueblo Magico

Ajijic, Jal, Mexico

Stay in a charming stand-alone two-bedroom home in Central Ajijic, just an 8-minute walk to the plaza and 3–4 minutes to the lake, cafés, restaurants, small grocery stores, and the bus stop. Everything is walkable, yet the neighborhood is quiet (very peaceful for Mexico!).This sit is ideal for someone who enjoys a calm, home-centered rhythm. Hazel, my cat, enjoys human company and likes having someone around during the day. She is independent, full of personality, and happiest sharing space with someone who appreciates cats for who they are.

House stays cool due to the position of the house and windows. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and living room.

You will have your own private bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Fully equipped kitchen, reliable internet, and weekly housekeeping and gardening service is included. No dryer, but there is a drying rack that works beautifully in the sunshine.
If possible, arriving 1–3 days early for a quick orientation would be wonderful.

About Hazel
Hazel is affectionate on her terms and has a bit of a “bratty” personality — part of her charm! She enjoys being near people but does not always like to be picked up. She communicates clearly when she wants space.

She is easy to care for and follows a simple routine:
Morning (approx 7:00–9:30am), after sunrise if possible
Open cat door
Feed dry food

Evening (approx sunset–8:00pm)
Feed dinner
Before bed (9:00pm–midnight), close pet door after she comes inside

Important: Hazel can get out of the patio but cannot get back in on her own. If you’ll be out in the evening past 8–9pm, please keep her inside.
She sometimes enjoys a short walk around the block before coming home if she slips out — details can be explained during our introduction.

She usually prefers outdoor plants to the litter box, but please check the litter every few days just in case.

A Few Questions for You

What does a typical day look like for you while house sitting?
(For example — do you work remotely, explore most of the day, enjoy quiet time at home, etc.?)

Have you spent time in Mexico or similar towns before? What do you most enjoy about staying in places like Ajijic?

If interested, we can set up a video meeting! Looking forward to meeting you!
