Kitties rule in a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath home in Colonia Guadiana, just adjacent to the San Miguel's Centro. It is quiet, safe and full of lovely homes. Minutes walk to Parque Juarez as well as lovely small park on our street. Just 2 blocks to Mercado Sano, the organic market full of artisan crafts, coffee shops, organic cafes and produce and a fun, lively Saturday market. I have lived in San Miguel for 6 years and love every minute of being here.
My home is on 3 levels. The first is the main living area, dining and kitchen, as well as washer / dryer. The 2nd level holds king size bed, sofa with TV, and small kitchen with fridge for coffee and snacks. It also has a lovely small terrazza with flowers and vista. The 3rd level (your guest space) has a king bed, and a lovely large roof terrace with table, sofa and plants, and wonderful view. There is hi-speed wifi throughout. I am walking distance to almost everything in San Miguel. The house is only 9 years old and is of a contemporary style. AC is rare iin SMA.
I would like a single sitter without their own pets, with references on this website, but I’m also open to couples. Please do not bring your own pets. It would be nice to find someone who can do repeat house sits as I travel to the states every few months.
If you plan on having guests, they need to be part of the initial application. Everyone who is coming to house sit needs to be represented on your Profile.
It would be best to find someone local or at the very least, someone semi-fluent in Spanish, living currently or extremely familiar with living in Mexico as there are so many unique situations that can arise. I am seeking most importantly, someone who is responsible, trustworthy, prompt responder, good communicator and honors their commitments. When we agree on an end date, you are expected to stay until that date. Someone who has experience with home ownership and maintenance (those jobs are not required) so that if something happens, there is an experienced person to oversee the repair persons. For extra security, there are cameras at each entrance to the home.
Taxis are easy to find and street parking is available. Location could not be better - no where I would rather live anywhere in the world!
Responsibilities
I would like the house sitter to enjoy San Miguel and this beautiful home. Next is to take the greatest care of my 2 cats, Diego and Rosa. To spend time with them, (need someone at home at least half the day), play/engage with cats and of course, food and water, fresh and on time. They are loving and playful. I need someone to spend every night over-nite in the house for security and at least 1/2 day at home for the cats. The cats have an open door during the day to explore the neighborhood and visit their friends. (They are not in any way clingy but they will sleep on your bed and demand lap cuddle time).To take care of the house, to make sure it stays secure so that I can hopefully return to the house and cats in the same or better condition as left. Address any emergencies with the utilities or neighbors. Be a good neighbor in my absence. Do your best to make sure none of the many plants and flowers become unhappy.
Also, to recycle all plastics by taking them to nearby park. Try to recycle as much as possible. Garbage to street for pickup.
Coordinate with housekeeper, gardener and repair people should the need arise.
Stay in touch with me regarding the cats and house, any news, via text and photos.
Order filtered water bottles and cover any supplies you personally need.
Clean kitty boxes. Advise me if any pet supplies are needed, or take care of them as needed and I will pay you back asap.
Due to the level of responsibility involved In sharing my precious home, I will need a copy of all occupants‘ passport and Mexican visa, after we confirm the arrangements. Thank you for understanding. I have a manual as to the details regarding my casa. Gracias
