I live with two bonded kitties named Rumi and Jade who are primarily inside cats but they have space out back at the neighbors for protected outside time. I live on a bus route about a 20 minute walk to Ajijic central and a 7 minute bus ride for about 12 pesos. My 1 bedroom casita is a few blocks from Lake Chapala and a 7 minute walk to 6 Corners, a west Ajijic village of shops. Several excellent restaurants are only a block away and there are many small shops selling vegetable and staples. Now that the holiday season is over, nights are very quiet and sleeping is easy. The weather at this time will be dry and not too warm, bugs are at a minimum and very little rain which comes in June. Ajijic is a very artsy and celebratory town with many activities as well as a beautiful malecon walk by the lake. A short bus ride can also take you to hot springs and mountain hikes. Wi-Fi is provided. There is no TV or air conditioning but the latter is not needed this time of year. I watch movies on my computer so bringing your own would be best.

Responsibilities

Beside twice a day feeding and water fountain fully supplied, my kitties like to cuddle, especially Rumi the tuxedo, and/ or play and hang out close while I’m watching a movie or reading on the couch. They sleep on the end of the bed, usually get a nighttime treat and go in and out after sleeping all afternoon. The front door to the street can be a bit hazardous for Rumi who will run out, so that is the only possible situation to be monitored.
