We are David and Carol. We have never had a dog in our life together until the day in September 2023 when we volunteered to walk dogs at the local pound. A two-year-old dog came home with us. We couldn't resist her. San Miguel is home and a great place to have a dog. Chica-Lina is sweet, loving and her life revolves around mostly chasing balls, a bit of tug of war, and lots of tummy rubs. She loves affection.

We have 3 levels of gardens just off the front door that leads up to our small home. The home is an open loft plan, with lots of windows and light that look out to the city and mountains from the living room and dining room. And an even larger view on the rooftop. We have a casita where the sitter can stay at night, though you are welcome to stay in the main house. You will have full use of the house. Our home is in a working class neighborhood, with children playing outside, people walking to work and school and a few tiendas right on our block. It is a 20 minute walk to Centro.

WiFi is good and reliable.

Local transportation includes buses, taxis, Uber and walking.

Please, no smokers, heavy drinkers or drug users. Thanks.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibility of the house sitter is to care for, walk, and play with Chica-Lina.

As for the house, just keep it locked up when you leave and care for it as if it were your own.
