Pátzcuaro: One of Mexico's Most Authentic "Pueblos Magicos"

We are renters in a very nice home in the La Loma area of Patzcuaro. The home has a great room; living room, dining area, kitchen, plus a half bath and a master suite with a full bathroom. Connected to the main space, but accessed from outside, is a guest bedroom with a full bathroom. There is a a great view of Lake Patzcuaro from our first floor space. There is a big grassy yard for people and pets. There is good Internet/WiFi service and IPTV, Netflix, Paramount. We have a weekly house cleaner, a weekly gardener. However, depending on rainfall there will be some watering. We also have a “dog helper” who comes once a week to give our sitter(s) a chance to spend a day exploring beautiful Patzcuaro. The second story of the house is the owner’s unit.
We have 3 friendly and active rescue dogs; Bugsy, 12 kg, and Rocky, 15kg, and Poppy, our newest 15 kg, along with our rescue cat, Mini.The dogs have full access to the house and garden but need to be separated from the cat. The dogs sleep in crates. The cat spends her time in the master bedroom except when she goes outside during the dogs afternoon siesta. ## Since Justine’s review in 2023, two of our pets have passed away. We are now a 3 dog, 1 cat family.
The home is within a 15 minute walk for us from Centro. There is Combi Service (small local buses) throughout the municipality for 11 pesos (less than 60 cents US) per person but not from the house. Taxis cost 50 pesos (a little more than $2 USD) in the local area.
We are asking for the sitter/s to arrive 14 August as we like to have a couple of days for you to settle in before we depart, 16 August.
We have a well equipped kitchen with all the gadgets so would appreciate taking good care of the cookware, especially.
There is a washer and dryer available so the house sitters are responsible for washing the sheets, towels and kitchen towels. As in all house sits, the sitters are expected to leave the house in "as good or better" condition as they find it.

Responsibilities
The obvious responsibilities are feeding and cleaning up after the dogs and the cat. Although we have a cleaning person weekly, a floor sweep as needed is necessary. Dogs and cats = pet hair. If you remember Disney's iconic animation "Coco" (about Day of the Dead): Patzcuaro was used by Disney as reference for what a classic Mexican pueblo looks like, and how Day of the Dead is celebrated.
