Culturally Rich San Miguel De Allende, MX; Excellent Food-Arts-Music
San Miguel De Allende, Gto, Mexico
We are happily living in beautiful San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. San Miguel de Allende, a colonial-era city in Mexico’s central highlands, is known for its baroque Spanish architecture, thriving arts scene, and cultural festivals. In the city’s historic cobblestoned center lies the neo-Gothic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, whose dramatic pink towers rise above the main plaza, El Jardín. Nearby, the Templo de San Francisco features an 18th-century churrigueresque façade. With its rich cultural scene, live music, excellent restaurants, and gorgeous architecture, San Miguel is a wonderful place to stay.
Our house is two stories, with two bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs. It is very sunny, with wonderful views of the surrounding hills of San Miguel.
The home is spacious with a large and well-equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher), washer and dryer, living room, and dining area. There is high-speed internet, so you can stream movies to your laptop or enjoy them on the large-screen Smart TV.
The house is located in Los Labradores, a gated community with security guards at the entrance. Los Labradores is just a 10‑minute drive to Centro, and there is an internal shuttle service to and from town. Public buses, taxis, and Uber are convenient alternatives for getting around. We are in the process of redecorating house.
We have a house cleaner who comes once a week and a gardener who maintains the yard. Indoor plants require watering, which we will ask you to take care of.
We do not have a car available for use, but if you bring one, you can park it securely on the property.
We know you will find our home welcoming and comfortable—and our dogs a joy to be around.
Please note that we cannot accept sitters who wish to bring their own pets or young children.
Our dogs are affectionate “love bugs” who enjoy lots of pats and cuddles. Mario, the male, is 6 years old, and Betsy, the female, is 5.
Ideally, we would love a couple. We are seeking sitters who truly love dogs, are reliable, honest, and non-smokers. You will be responsible for the house, the dogs, and the plants.
The dogs need to be walked twice a day: first thing in the morning around 7:30–8:00, and again in the evening before sunset (usually after 5:00). Mario does not like to do his business in the backyard—Betsy has claimed that space for herself—so the walks are especially important for him.
On walks, they are generally calm and stay close while on leash. Mario, who is golden-colored, may bark and pull when he sees other dogs. He likes to greet them but then tries to dominate, which can lead to a barking match—not fun if off leash. Betsy is less assertive; she follows her nose and insists on exploring any scent she finds. If they see a cat, both dogs get very excited.
They are fed twice daily, morning and evening. Please keep their two water bowls full at all times.
The dogs are mainly house dogs, not backyard dogs. When we are home, they prefer to stay in the same room with us. We often leave the back door open so they can access the yard. When we go out, we leave them inside and lock the house. They can be left alone for up to 5 hours, provided they have plenty of water.
At night, they sleep indoors, usually in our room. They are potty-trained and respond well to treats. Since we are retired, the dogs are used to having us around, so please keep in mind that they may show some separation anxiety and bark when left alone. This has lessened as they’ve gotten older.
They are well-behaved and respond to basic commands and treats. We have a local vet who knows them well in case of emergencies. We will ensure you have everything you need to care for them, including feeding instructions and any special needs or medications during your stay.

Responsibilities
We have two lovable goldendoodles who are members of our family. Since we have upcoming travel plans and unfortunately cannot bring them, we want to leave them at the house while we are away. We are looking for reliable and responsible house/pet sitters who are willing to stay in our home and care for our precious goldendoodles. Our dogs are affectionate “love bugs” who enjoy lots of pats and cuddles.
